Lab tests confirmed a new case of the novel coronavirus in Moldova, in a young man who returned from Italy. The announcement was made by Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu after the first meeting of the Single Command Center that is chaired by President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.

One more case is in the process of confirmation. The results will be announced in the morning of March 12.

President Dodon said all the strategic medical institutions are ready to manage the suspected and confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.

Four cases of infection with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova so far.
