The address will be written with paint on apartment buildings in the capital city by the end of October, on the initiative of the General Public Amenities Division. The goal is to lend a hand to the emergency services and the citizens, IPN reports.

In total, the addresses will be written with reflective paint on 2,841 blocks in all the districts of Chisinau. The characters will be about 25 cm in height. The blocks are managed by municipal housing enterprises and associations and do not have the address written on them.

The General Public Amenities Division said the objective is to ensure swift access for emergency services in exceptional situations and to help the citizens to easier orient themselves.

A sum of over 634,000 lei was allocated from the municipal budget for painting the address on the 2,841 blocks.
