The fear and panic caused in society because of the COVID-19 infection, the state of emergency declared in the country and the ban on leaving home if only in cases of strict necessity are a turning point from which the population should profit. According to psychologist Oxana Gumennaya, to avoid crises, strains and negative feelings, each person should have a well-planned program with exact long- and short-term activities, IPN reports.
Currently, all those who work should examine the area of activity in which they work and adjust it to the situation.
“The crisis will pass and we must admit this. Most probably, the transfer to the Internet will be one of its effects. It’s time to improve our skills to work over the Internet and to investigate the area,” Oxana Gumennaya stated in the talk show “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on TV8 channel.
The psychologist also said that no one will remain without a job and a salary as a result of the economic crisis.
“The banks suspended the payment of interest rates on loans. We must understand that the deadlines were put off. We will not remain without work and salary. We could change the job or the area of activity. Some of the forms of work will no longer be successful, but we should now develop the skills to work on the Internet. They make money through our agency and we will not remain without a salary. We can make purchases and pay taxes only if we have a salary,” she stated.
As to the persons with children, Oxana Gumennaya said these should adjust their activity to several essential rules.
“You should decide a daily timetable. A mature person should understand that the member of the family who gets along with the child the best is the boss in the house. You must set down several rules: a room where no one will enter as this is the “office”. You must find that place, even if it’s very small, where you can work or meditate, while the children play somewhere else,” stated the psychologist.
To avoid eventual conflicts in the family, there should be mutual support and respect.
“If you have negative feelings, practice sport, meditate, use different methods to get rid of stress. The feelings should be aimed not at persons, but at objects,” concluded Oxana Gumennaya.
