Mariana Lucrețeanu vacated the position of secretary of state of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Her resignation was accepted by the Cabinet on Wednesday, IPN reports.

"I thank Mrs. Lucrețeanu for coordinating the efforts to strengthen the asylum system in the Republic of Moldova, but also for working out the National Program on the Phased Integration of Foreigners in the Republic of Moldova," said Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin.

Mariana Lucrețeanu occupied the position of secretary of state of the Ministry of Interior in July 2024, giving up her seat of MP. She entered Parliament in August 2023 as a substitute candidate on the lists of the Party of Action and Solidarity.
