The local houses of social insurance all over Moldova will accept documents for setting maternity benefit only on April 7 and 8, between 7.30am and 3:00pm. Only the local offices in Soroca and Ștefan Vodă will not work given the special quarantine regime established there, IPN reports, quoting the National House of Social Insurance.
The local offices will make sure the social distance of 1.5 – 2 meters is respected and the applicants wear masks and gloves.
To get maternity benefit, the socially insured women, wives maintained by socially insured husbands and the unemployed women must present the medical leave certificate in the original, the identity card in the original and a copy, while in the case of wives maintained by insured husbands also the marriage certificate in the original and a copy and the wife’s written own responsibility statement showing that she does not work and does not earn incomes.
The maternity benefit is distributed through the payment service providers chosen by the recipients. More details can be found on the website of the National House of Social Insurance in the division “Other Social Benefits”.
For medical safety reasons related to the prevention of the spread and infection with the novel coronavirus, the central offices and the local offices of social insurance were closed on a temporary basis.
