The municipality of Chisinau said that owing to the pandemic, Christmas bazaars downtown will not be staged this year, but the Christmas Trree will be traditionally set up in the center of the capital city. This year the Christmas tree will be probably placed in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral, not in the Great National Assembly Square, IPN reports.
Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban said that decorations will be placed in the Cathedral’s Park. The district heads will present a concept for laying out all the parks and squares in the districts, by obeying all the rules and measures given the pandemic situation, by the example of other countries in the period.
According to the mayor, this means placing of fir trees, minimum decorations and no marketplaces so as to avoid crowdedness.
