Meteorologists have issued a code-yellow warning for unstable weather starting at 2:30 p.m. today until midnight. According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, there will be thunderstorms on extended areas, isolated showers reaching 15-25 liters per square meter, and gusty wind blowing at speeds of 15-20 metres per second.
Contacted by IPN, meteorologist Ghenadi Roșca said the warning is due to the fact that a front is approaching Moldova from the south and heading west.
On Tuesday, highs of up to 25 degrees are predicted in northern Moldova and of up to 27 degrees in the south. Thursday temperatures will increase by one degree and already on Friday they will surpass the 30 degrees mark. In some parts of the country it might rain.
