Tariff wage for lowest payment category of non-budgetary field set differently
Starting July 1, employers of micro-enterprises with a staff up to 9 employees and those of the agricultural units will pay the minimum salary for the first qualification category of 550 lei per month, compared to 360 lei, until now. At the same time, the employees of the other branches of the national economy will get the tariff salary of 700 lei, compared to 550 lei set until now. The National Commission on Collective Consultations and Negotiations Government-Trade Unions-Patronages got to this decision on Monday, June 26, which has approved the draft of the Collective Convention at national level on the amount of the tariff wage for the first qualification category in the non-budgetary sphere. The draft will be submitted to the Government for discussions and might be included in the agenda of the next Government meeting. The deputy minister of economy and commerce, Sergiu Sainciuc, announced that during the meeting the Tripartite Commission has accepted that employers get a 3-month term, till September 1, in order to implement these tariffs gradually, it means depending on the existence of available resources. The chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of RM, Petru Chiriac, said at the meeting of the Tripartite Commission that the Trade Unions agree with this decision, but mentioned that the tariff salary for the first wage category should be equal to the minimum of existence, established at about 850 lei. At the same time, he noted that the social partners should make all the efforts to equal these two salaries: the budgetary and non-budgetary spheres for the first wage category, in order to erase differences of social matter between employees of these two sectors of the national economy. The law approved this year regarding the wage system of the public sector provides the increase of the tariff salary for the first wage category by 200 lei, being fixed at the level of 400 lei.
