The state of emergency all over Romania is extended for another 30 days as of Jule 17. A decision to this effect was taken unanimously by the National Committee for Emergency Situations. The Romanian-Moldovan border crossing points Rădăuți-Prut in Botoșani County and Oancea in Galaț County remain temporarily, fully or partially closed, IPN reports.
Entry into Romania to foreigners and stateless persons is banned, except for the family members of Romanian citizens and of citizens of other EU member states or of states of the European Economic Community or of the Swiss Confederation, with residence in Romania, persons with a long-stay visa, a permit of stay or an equivalent document.
The persons who travel for business and have a visa, permit of stay or another equivalent document, namely medical staffs, medical scientists, medical personnel for geriatric care, carriers and other categories of people involved in freight delivery can enter Romania. The diplomatic or consular personnel, the personnel of international organizations, military personnel or personnel that can ensure humanitarian aid, persons in transit, including those who are repatriated as a result of the provision of consular protection, passengers who travel for imperative purposes and those who need international protection or for other humanitarian reasons are also an exception.
The flights provided by aviation economic operators to Belgium, France, Iran, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Spain, the U.S., and Turkey and from these countries to Romania, for all the airports, are suspended, with some exceptions.
In closed public places, commercial spaces, public transport and at the workplace, mask wearing remains mandatory.
