Sixteen educational institutions will present their education offers at the eleventh Romanian University Fair that is held on the Classics’ Alley in central Chisinau on July 7 and 8, IPN reports.

According to Mihaela Furculiță, vice president of the Federation of Young Bessarabians, which is one of the organizers of the fair, 2,659 places at the pre-university stage and between 4,000 to 5,000 places at the university stage are available to Bessarabians this year.

The Romanian ethnics who completed the eighth grade in the Republic of Moldova can study further in Romania, directly from the ninth grade. On July 9, the Romanian University Fair will be staged in Bălți, while on July 10 – in Cahul.

Cristin Murafa, president of the Federation of Young Bessarabians, said the organization he heads in July-October is conducting a campaign titled “AdmiteRO”. In the period, Moldovan lyceum or secondary school graduates can cover a number of stages for being admitted to an educational institution in Romania.

Enrolment at the faculty is the first stage. The places at the universities to which the graduates will be admitted will be confirmed at the second stage. At the next stage, the Bessarabians who do not have Romanian nationality will have to apply for a Romanian visa and at the final stage they will need to obtain a permit of stay in Romania.

On July 14 and 15, the Federation of Young Bessarabians will hold a marathon of training sessions intended for young people from the NGO sector of the Republic of Moldova at the Chisinau Municipal Youth Center. The project is supported and financed by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova.
