The presidential administration calls on the people to be cautious about the false information that is distributed in the public sphere, accompanied by the image of President Maia Sandu, IPN reports.

In the context of the hybrid attacks, the President’s image is used in different types of advertisement for the purpose of cheating and misleading about the promoted pharmaceuticals or banking services.

The false information is more often distributed over the Internet and promotes individuals or companies, but the content of messages has nothing to do with the activities and image of President Maia Sandu. Such information disseminated in the public sphere, accompanied by images of senior state officials, is false, said the President’s Office.

The presidential administration condemns such disinformation practices and calls on the citizens to inform themselves only from safe sources.
