President Maia Sandu announced that she had a new round of consultations on possible ways of overcoming the political crisis. She discussed optimal solutions that can help break the deadlock and trigger snap elections with opinion leaders and constitutional law experts, IPN reports.
“All those who attended the discussions agreed that the country needs snap elections, a responsible Parliament and a stable Government that would stop the schemes and would take the country out of the crisis. I thanked the participants for their recommendations and involvement,” President Sandu posted on Facebook.
Maia Sandu said she is determined to defend the interests of the citizens till the end. Today, the interests and will of the people are an honest and responsible Government and a Parliament that would represent them and would not be controlled by corrupt groups.
Earlier this week, President Sandu announced that she started a series of consultations with civil society, jurists, constitutional law experts, institutions that ensure the rule of law so as to listen to their opinions and recommendations for solving the political crisis.
