President Igor Dodon tomorrow will pay an official visit to Moscow in order to discuss gas prices with the Russian authorities, among other issues. The subject will be also discussed with Gazprom.
“A potential consensus in these negotiations could significantly reduce the need for increasing the rates of natural gas”, Igor Dodon posted to Facebook.
The president says there is operative information about fraudulent schemes at work in the Moldovan energy system in general and in Moldovagaz in particular, which drive costs up and consequently lead to higher gas rates. Considering this, the president demands urgent action to eliminate such schemes and cut the company’s internal costs.
