Prime Minister Ion Chicu said it is clear that this Parliament fully discredited itself before society and, according to him, the main goal is to fully dissolve this legislature using any possible legal way. Decisions will be taken depending on MPs’s behavior today, when a new sitting of Parliament is to take place and where he is to present the bills for which the Government assumed responsibility, IPN reports.
After the meeting of senior state officials, Premier Chicu said they discussed the obstruction of the Government’s wok by particular political forces. The political parties that limit the Government’s work and violate the Constitution by not allowing the Government to assume responsibility bear full responsibility for the current political crisis. “Maia Sandu or others do not have constitutional reasons to block the Government’s work,” stated the official.
According to him, the assumption of responsibility for rectification is in full compliance with the Constitution. Moreover, it goes to important bills to raise salaries, to pay one-off allowances. The politicians should think about the country and offer the Government the possibility to work. “We continue to hope that the politicians from Parliament will show responsibility. I hope they will come at 2pm today and will allow the Government to implement these bills.”
The last two sittings of Parliament set for June 2 and 3 didn’t take place because the quorum was not present. MPs Ilan Șor, Ștefan Gațcan, Vladimir Andronache and the MPs of the PAS, PPPDA, Pro Moldova and the Shor Party were absent. Premier Chicu will today make the third attempt to present the bills for which the Government assumed responsibility.
