The Democratic Party has announced the holding of nonstop sociopolitical events during June 10-30 in the Great National Assembly Square and in front of a number of state institutions. An order that authorizes the events was signed by deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu on June 10 after the PDM submitted relevant applications beforehand, IPN reports.
Under the order, the PDM plans sociopolitical meetings in front of the Government Building, in the central square of Chisinau, at the Constitutional Court, at the Ministry of the Interior and in front of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Among the addresses indicated in the applications are also 64 Șoseaua Hâncești St, where the public broadcaster is based, at 44/3 Armenească St, where the PDM has its head office and such locations as the precincts of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
Contacted by IPN for a comment, vice president of the PDM Vladimir Cebotari said the party earlier announced it will stage peaceful events at the request of its supporters, but provided no other details.
