The persons who want to become volunteers of the Campaign “Moldova for Peace/Solidarity for Ukraine” need to fill out a form in which they will indicate one or several of the available options: transport, accommodation, services, goods, etc.
Over 1,700 persons have registered as volunteers during one day, IPN reports. Some of these were already contacted and invited to go to border crossing points and other points where they can offer assistance. The other persons will be contacted the next few days, as the campaign coordinators announced.
A total sum of €10,000 has been collected as part of the campaign so far. The money will be used to satisfy the needs of refugees and persons who cross the border in times of war (tents, toilets, power banks, tea, drinking water, sleeping bags, mattresses, food for children) and to cover the costs associated with volunteers’ trips to the border.
