Oleg Nuța and Ilie Sprincean have qualified for the final of the Canoe Sprint Seniors World Championships that are taking place in the Czech Republic. In the 500 meter race, the Moldovan pair finished third in the first semifinal, with the result of 1:45.297, IPN reports.
They were outstripped by Italy’s Nicolae and Sergiu Craciun (1:43.236) and Andrei Bahdanovich and Dzlanis Makhlai of Belarus (1:44.902). This year, Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprincean have became world and European youth champions in the 500 meter race.
On August 25, the Nuta - Sprincean pair competed also in the 1 000 meter race and qualified for the semifinals with the result of 3:47.397.
