The infections with the novel coronavirus in Moldova reached 16,357 after the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announced 107 new cases on June 29. There were also reported six more deaths from COVID-19 and the toll now stands at 536, IPN reports.
As many as 745 tests were performed today, with 563 of them being primary ones. One of the new cases was imported from Italy, while the rest are local transmission cases.
Five more health professionals were confirmed with COVID-19 today. The number of infected employees of the health system totals 2,408.
As many as 9,229 infected persons got cured so far. A number of 479 patients with COVID-19 are in a serious state and 31 of them were put on a ventilator.
The public health authorities recommend maintaining social distancing, avoiding crowded places and wearing masks over the mouth and nose in situations when it is not possible to keep social distancing.
