Not all those who wait for trolleybuses at stations in Chisinau manage to get on

Not all the persons who are waiting for trolleybuses at stations in the capital city manage to get onto one by the first attempt. At some of the stations, police officers control the flow of passengers. Where there are no police officers, this is done by drivers. These stop before or after the station so that the passengers get out, but others do not get on. Sometimes, those waiting in stations see two and even three trolleybuses going by without taking them.

Contacted by IPN for a Comment, director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company Dorin Chenyi said the drivers weren’t given such instructions, but they probably do it in order to avoid crowdedness in trolleybuses.

“We haven’t been informed about this, but will verify the reports. The trolleybus can go by the station if the seats are occupied so that there are not many people on the unit of transport. This is according to the recommendations (for preventing COVID-19, e.n.),” stated Dorin Chenyi.

As many as 321 trolleybuses were on routes today. This is the maximum capacity of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company.
