The national U-21 football team of Moldova surprisingly defeated the similar team of Belgium 1-0 in the qualifying rounds of the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, IPN reports.
The only goal of the match played in Tiraspol was scored in the 38th minute by Zimbru fullback Denis Furtună, on the day he turned 21. Belgium could have tied in the 88th minute, but goalkeeper Victor Straistari rejected spectacularly the penalty taken by Ikoma-Lois Openda.
