Moldova is on the way to be included this year in the list of the countries benefiting from funds of US Program „Millennium Challanges”, the manager of the Preliminary Program within the Millennium Challenges Company (MCC), Kevin Saba, announced during the meeting with the prime minister, Vasile Tarlev. Kevin Saba mentioned that Moldova registered visible successes in the field of economic development, reason for which it was invited to attend the preliminary Stage of Us Program „Millennium Challenges”. The official appreciated positively the fact that Moldova has presented already to MCC Corporation for examination the draft of the document Priority Activity Concept and Directions in the field of getting country’s performances to the indicator „Control over corruption”, underlining the purpose of the visit of the current MCC delegation is to discuss the aspects related to de a these two documents and to set priority fields for reform. Vasile Tarlev noted efficient cooperation relations set between Moldova and USA, appreciating highly the activity done in Moldova by the Us Embassy, American Agency for International Development (USAID) for supporting reforms, as well as the significant contribution of Joint Economic and Investment Cooperation Moldovan-American Committee. The prime Minister underscored the interest of Moldova in implementing new qualitative reforms in society and actions undertaken by the government in this sense. In the same time the Prime Minister expressed his confidence that together implementation of this process will be much more efficient. Vasile Tarlev emphasised the necessity to maintain a permanent dialogue between the parts and the ensuring of a transparency in the undertaken actions. Once being included in the US Program „Millennium Challenges”, Moldova will benefit from financial assistance as grants for implementing the reforms in different areas.
