The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) welcomes the European Council’s conclusions that reaffirm the European Union’s continuous support for the Republic of Moldova in the process of joining the big European family, IPN reports.
The European Union announced that it will continue to offer relevant assistance to the Republic of Moldova, including in strengthening resilience, security, stability, the economy and in supplying the country with energy resources amidst the destabilizing actions of foreign actors. It will also provide support in the process of joining the EU. In this connection, the European Council invited the European Commission to present a package of support before its next meeting.
“We are grateful for the EU’s commitment to strengthen resilience, security, stability, the economy and the energy security of the Republic of Moldova, especially given the attempts by foreign actors to destabilize our country,” the Ministry noted in a press release.
According to the institution, the Republic of Moldova is fully committed on its path towards the European Union and approves of the EU’s support in this regard.
