The citizens in Chetriș commune of Fălești district and those in Corlăteni village of Râșcani district elected their mayors in the November 15 runoff. In the first commune, the mayoralty was won by the candidate nominated by the Democratic Party (PDM), while in the second by the candidate of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), IPN reports.
The Central Election Commission said 324 of the 623 persons who cast their ballots in Chetriș voted for Constantin Condru who was fielded by the PDM, while the rest for his opponent Alesea Mamai of the Our Party.
In Corlăteni, of the 2,168 electors who marked their ballots, 1,321 voted for Veaceslav Bold who was put forward by the PAS. The Our Party’s candidate Svetlana Pruteanu gained 810 votes.
