The change cannot be made with the help of turncoats and corrupt MPs who were illegally attracted from the PDM by the Candu and Shor groups with large amounts of money, said the president of the Democratic Party Pavel Filip, being quoted in a press release issued by the party after discussions with the leader of the Party of Action and Solidarity Maia Sandu. According to the press release, the two party leaders discussed the way in which the country is governed and to what extent things can be improved in this period of pandemic crisis and political instability, IPN reports.
Pavel Filip said the opposition parties can be a constructive factor of pressure on the government as long as they act in people’s interests and expressed his readiness to discuss the discontents with governance, including those expressed by the PAS, within the current parliamentary majority.
The politician noted the PDM is open to a dialogue with the PAS, the PPPDA and the PSRM in any political format that can improve people’s lives. But they will no way accept to discuss with the Shor Pary and the Pro Moldova Party as some of the leaders of these parties and their backers are suspected of having been involved in the banking fraud, MP corruption and other illegalities. “These parties should be isolated, not encouraged to continue their dirty method of doing politics,” runs the press release.
Pavel Filip said he considers things in the country can be improved without resorting to the votes of the turncoats and corrupt MPs and expressed his willingness to continue the dialogue, including with the PAS, if there are subjects of interests for the people. “The PDM believes any party that associates itself with Pro Moldova and the Shor Party automatically leave the political zone and enter the zone of dirty interests and political games and cannot be considered a credible party and dialogue partner.”
