The Government in the first place, the politicians in the second place and the country’s population bear responsibility for the large number of persons infected with COVID-19, IPN quoted Prime Minister Ion Chicu as saying in the talk show “Black Box” on TV8 channel.
“The punishments or the measures taken by the police are not the most efficient ones. Things should be explained. This is the product of my, your and everyone’s carelessness,” stated Premier Chicu.
Asked why the Government didn’t intervene when large electoral events, celebrations were held, the official said the forces weren’t united.
“Results weren’t achieved in any of the countries where forces weren’t combined to contain the pandemic. There was no success in any of the countries where there were political speculations and confrontations,” said the Premier.
He also accused the politicians of trying to gain political benefits on account of the pandemic. “Regrettably, the politicians since the first case of infection of that woman who returned from Italy have tried to speculate on this issue. The biased press did the same unfortunately,” he noted.
Premier Chicu also said that the Government intervened to deal with the crisis within the available resources and the doctors are those who deserve thanks. “In this campaign, the doctors are the only one whose hands should be kissed. All the rest bear a part of the blame. The Government bears the largest part of the blame, while the politicians come second in terms of their blame. By definition, the Government responds for everything that is going on in the country.”
He noted that the central public administration banks on the acknowledgement and popularization of this problem. “We must further struggle against this pandemic more united and solidary from now on we will all succumb to the pandemic.”
