The Cabinet approved the initiation of the negotiation and signing of an amendment to the assistance agreement signed with the U.S. Government for the program to strengthen the state institutions. By this amendment, the time limit for implementing the agreement could be extended from September 30, 2018 until March 30, 2020, IPN reports.
The financing totals US$ 8.99 million. The extension of the implementation deadline will enable to use the remaining financial resources of US$ 121,000. The money will go to assess the performance of activities in the fields of democracy and good governance.
Another amendment that is to be negotiated and signed envisions the extension of the deadline for implementing the assistance agreement signed with the U.S. Government for the program to support the local authorities. This way, it will be possible to utilize the US$ 74,000 that remained available within the project that costs US$ 17.2 million.
There will also be negotiated and signed an amendment to extend the deadline for implementing the agreement with the U.S. Government for the economic growth project from September 30, 2018 until March 30, 2020. The cost of the project is US$ 43.14 million and the remaining US$ 128,000 would be used to assess the Competiveness Project.
