Igor Dodon: Russia will offer about 100 tractors to Moldova

The Russian Federation will donate about 100 tractors to Moldova in September – October. These will be given to mayor’s offices. President Igor Dodon said requested tractors to be provided during his recent visit to Moscow, IPN reports.

“I asked for about 100 units of agricultural machinery for mayor’s offices. I hope about 100 tractors will be donated by the Russian Federation to mayor’s offices, regardless of their political color, in September – October,” President Dodon was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Direct access” on NTV Moldova channel.

Igor Dodon noted an agreement with Russia concerning the Moldovans who work in this country is being drafted. This will provide that the person who resigns in Moldova, but worked in Russia, will have the years worked there and the financial contribution made there calculated when the pension is set. “Such an agreement was coordinated with the Russian side and the Moldovan side should now take action, but the government does not want to discuss with the Russians,” he stated.

President Dodon said he plans to make an official visit to Russia in October to discuss the liberalization of exports and a new stage of amnesty for Moldovan migrants.

As to the appointment of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Dmitry Kozak as Russia’s special representative for trade and economic relations with Moldova, Igor Dodon said a special representative for Moldova, not only for the Transnistrian region, was ultimately named after many years and this is a very positive signal. He noted he will have meetings with Dmitry Kozak during the next few months.
