Government lives in a parallel world and does not know real problems of people, Irina Vlah

The leader of the public association Moldova Platform Irina Vlah said the current government, although it promised good times, has impoverished the country. Her team made many trips through localities, talking to people, and came to the conclusion that the rulers live in a parallel world, don’t know at all the real problems of the people, act on the basis of their narrow interests, completely ignoring the real interests of the citizens.

“From the actions of Maia Sandu and her people in the Parliament and Government, from the results of their work, we can deduce what these people, who came to the helm of the country through lies and manipulation, want. They promised good times, but they impoverished the country and derided the people, but we could have never imagined that a party can act so in relation to the citizens, to the own country,” Irina Vlah told a press briefing at IPN.

The leader of Moldova Platform noted that the current government has destroyed what was left of the justice system although it promised to reform it and put it at the service of the citizens. “Maia Sandu and her team destroyed the economy so that today it is weaker than in the 1990s. Maia Sandu and her team destroyed the social protection system and for the first time in many years, the state didn’t cope with a minimum mission – to index pensions to inflation,” said Irina Vlah.

According to her, the government, through antisocial policies, pushed the poverty level up to unimaginable levels. “Hundreds of thousands of citizens left the country during the years of government of Maia Sandu’s team in search of a better life abroad. Maia Sandu and her team brought farmers on the rocks and now they don’t even want to discuss with them and try to identify at least some solutions so that the farmers don’t go bankrupt,” noted Irina Vlah.

She also accused the government of closing schools and hospitals, of increasing the charges of energy resources, etc. According to her, the government promised to crack down on smuggling and corruption, “but these phenomena are now even larger”.

Moldova Platform today has launched a nationwide campaign titled “Voice of the People”. Within it, Irina Vlah’s team intends to collect information from people about their problems, as well as their opinions and proposals for solving particular problems, and then forward them the responsible authorities.
