For next year, the Government cannot afford to allow the Republic of Moldova to be isolated at foreign level and not to restore the relations with the foreign partners. The necessity of having a normal relationship with the European partners is very important. The issue was developed in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Economic expert Veaceslav Ionita said one should not incorrectly think that the EU imposed conditions for providing the €100 million that it announced it could offer to Moldova. The European Union uses these grants and loans only as positive stimuli for Moldova to take the necessary measures. “I want someone to tell me which of the EU’s conditions are not extremely vital for the citizen of the Republic of Moldova,” said the expert.
Expert Veaceslav Berbeca said the political precondition imposed by the European Union is related exclusively to the fact that parliamentary elections will take place in Moldova in 2018. The EU’s concern is related to the mixed-member electoral system, which could disadvantage particular parties. “There is concern in the European Union about how the possible developments in the Republic of Moldova,” he noted.
