About 80 volleyball enthusiasts attend the Hospices of Hope Moldova Beach Volleyball Cup on Saturday. The Cup, which is held for charity, is dedicated to all active recreational lovers who have assembled a team of eight volleyball enthusiasts. The event will start at 09:00 am on the volley court in Valea Morilor Park, the organizers say in a press release.
The participants are asked to donate 2,000 lei per team to support incurable patients. At the same time, they can contribute, as sponsors of the event, by choosing one of the available sponsorship packages. All funds raised will be used to provide palliative care services to those suffering from incurable diseases and limiting conditions in Moldova.
Supporters are invited to join a picnic with the whole family.
Hospices of Hope Moldova Beach Volleyball Cup is an event organized to raise funds to support the activity of Hospices of Hope Moldova, in particular the development and consolidation of the National Hospices of Hope Moldova Palliative Care Network.
Currently, the Network integrates five mobile, multidisciplinary teams, which provide health and social care services at home in Soroca, Ocnița, Orhei, Taraclia and Cahul regions. The beneficiaries are people who face an incurable disease or life-limiting conditions.
Since the launch of the project, over one thousand people have benefited from qualitative palliative care services. Over 28 thousand visits and consultations were given, and over 40 people were trained in different aspects of palliative care.
