Moldova, Ukraine to cooperate in fighting transnational economic crime

The Ministry of the Interior of Moldova and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine will negotiate and sign an agreement on cooperation between local bodies working in border areas in combating transnational economic crime, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.

The signatories will ensure swifter information exchanges. Joint working groups will be set up to prevent and identity offenses.

The agreement was drafted by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. Currently, the cooperation in combating transnational economic crime is regulated by a document signed by the CIS states. A part of the provisions of this accord are outdated.
