Anti-Hail Service to cover the whole republic’s territory – Vasile Tarlev
Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev is positive that the Anti-Hail Service will be modernized and will ensure the anti-hail protection of the whole republic. He made this statement during his visit in Ungheni raion, where he took notice of the activity of the anti-hail stations from Cornesti town. The head of the Anti-hail Service, Ion Garaba, announced that the service is working successfully and ensure the anti-hail protection of one third of the territory of the republic. Moreover, assembling modern anti-hail rockets within the country allowed saving at least 100 dollars per rocket. Even if the prime Minister showed himself satisfied with the achievements of the service, he required to issue an action plan in order to improve the situation in the field and the working conditions of the employees. It was proposed to protect about 1 million hectares by 2007, and to ensure the anti-hail protection of the whole territory of the country by the end of 2008. The official said that he would support the proposals of modernizing the equipment of the Anti-Hail Service, in order to attract the rainfall during drought. During his visit to Ungheni the Prime Minister met with the citizens, producers, farmers and discussed with the staff of the raion. There were discussed many problems, especially those related to tap water supply in the raion and the gas piping of the region. The head of the Executive promised to ensure the locality with natural gas till the end of 2009.
