Andrei Spînu vacated the post of Secretary General of the President’s Staff on a temporary basis so as to become involved in the election campaign of the Party of Action and Solidary. Spânu informed about this through social media on May 4, IPN reports.
“Friends, I firmly believe that the snap parliamentary elections are our country’s chance. These elections can be won. They can be won if we mobilize and conduct a proper election campaign. Each effort matters. Staring from today, I will be away (on unpaid leave) from the post of Secretary General of the President’s Staff,” Andrei Spînu posted on Facebook.
“In the immediate period, alongside mates from the PAS, we will organize an election campaign that I hope will bring more honest persons to Parliament. The citizens of the Republic of Moldova deserve to have a well-managed country. We will work to gain the people’s confidence. We are expecting you to be near us.”
The snap parliamentary elections were set for July 11.
