Acting Prosecutor General gets two deputies

The Superior Council of Prosecutors today approved the appointment of Eduard Bulat and Marcel Dumitraș as deputies to Acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu, IPN reports.

Eduard Bulat has been working in the prosecution service since 1994. His current position is head of the Reform and Management Division of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Marcel Dumitraș has been a prosecutor for more than 26 years. He is head of the PGO’s Contentious Proceedings Division.

In his new capacity, Eduard Bulat will be in charge of prosecutorial investigations maters, and Marcel Dumitraș of judicial proceedings matters. Their terms in office are limited to the term of the current acting PG.

After Alexandr Stoianoglo’s suspension from office as a result of a criminal probe against him, his deputies Mircea Roșioru and Iurie Perevoznic resigned, as a third deputy, Ruslan Popov, was himself arrested, on illicit enrichment charges.
