Fifteen IT companies from Moldova signed an application addressed to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure concerning the creation of the IT Park “Moldova IT Park”. The Ministry has 30 days to examine the package of documents and take a decision as to the launch of the procedure for creating the IT park, IPN reports.
In the application signing ceremony, Ana Chirita, executive director of the National Association of ICT Companies, said the goal of the project is to generate preconditions for developing the information technology industry, create new jobs and attract national and foreign investment.
The project “Moldova IT Park” aims to provide consultancy mechanisms and support for new IT firms, to increase investments in the activities of IT companies that are residents of the park and the number of innovative IT products created by the resident companies, to establish international partnerships for the transfer of knowledge and technology in the IT sector, including by engaging foreign IT professionals.
The application submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure was signed by Alfasoft SRL, ICS ES Technosoft SRL, Esempla Systems SRL, IM FBS-Group SRL, IM Inther Software Development SRL, Invensis Soft SRL, Meta-Sistem SRL, Nocsoft SRL, ICS Qsystems SRL, Ritlabs SRL, Simpals Dev SRL, Simpals Studio SRL, Starlab SRL, ICS Switchover SRL, and Webtech SRL.
The implementation of the innovative taxation model by imposing a common tax of 7% for the residents of IT parks, with simple and clear administration mechanisms, is the key element of the law on IT parks.
