Semifinalists of Moldova’s Football Cup known

Zimbru has qualified dramatically for the semifinals of Moldova’s Football Cup. The “green-yellows” beat previous edition finalist Zaria Balti 1-0 in overtime, IPN reports.

The only goal was scored by Ilie Damascan in the 120th minute. Zimbru will play in the semifinals against Dinamo-Auto, which qualified after Dacia withdrew. “It won’t be an easy game. We will do our best to reach the final,” Zimbru coach Vladimir Aga told a news conference.

In Orhei, Milsami eliminated last year’s winner Sheriff. The team trained by Veaceslav Rusnac won by 2-0 owing to the two goals scored by Mihai Platica in the second half of the game. In the semifinals, Milsami will meet Petrocub, which defeated Speranta 2-0. Vladislav Ivanov managed to score two goals towards the end of the match. The semifinal games will be played on May 9.
