Zaria Balti became the new holder of Moldova’s Football Cup. In the final played at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, the team trained by Ukrainian coach Igor Rakhaev beat Milsami Orhei 1-0 in overtime, IPN reports.
The only goal was scored by the former striker of Milsami Gheorghe Boghiu, who is the best scorer in the history of the team from Orhei, in the 99th minute. “I’m very glad that we won the Cup in the duel with the team with which I entered big football,” stated Gheorghe Boghiu.
Zaria won Moldova’s Cup and secured a place in the UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds. The final was controlled by a group of referees from Poland led by Pawe³ Raczkowski. “I have objections to the work of the referees. I got the impression that they sympathized with Zaria. I have nothing to reproach my team for,” Milsami coach Andrian Sosnovschi told a news conference.
