Monitoring the implementation of the public administration reform and resource distribution
The athletes who will achieve good Olympic and Paralympic results will be awarded by the Government, IPN reports, quoting a Cabinet decision.
Thus, the Olympic champions of the 31st Summer Olympics of Rio de Janeiro will receive by 3 million lei each. The silver medalists will get by 2.6 million lei, while the bronze medalists – by 2 million lei. Those who will rank fourth-eighth will receive 200,000 to 400,000 lei.
The coaches will also be awarded for the results obtained at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The award for these will be equal in value to the award of the trained athlete. If a coach trained several awardees, this will get a reward equal in value to the highest award provided to his trainees and by 75% of the rest of the won awards. The medical personnel will get by 10% of the value of the award given to the assisted athlete.
At the coming Olympic Games, Moldova will be represented by 25-27 Olympic athletes and three Paralympic athletes.
