Monitoring the implementation of the public administration reform and resource distribution
The Child Protection Day on June 1 was celebrated by a broad program of activities in the central park of Chisinau. These included a concert by different music and dances ensembles. Thus, dozens of children could take part in amusing and cognitive activities and diverse workshops, IPN reports.
Attending the event, Minister of Education Corina Fusu said that today is a nice day because it is not only the children’s day, but also the parent’s day. “This day was planned as a holiday and it is an occasion for showing to each child that they are exceptional and need respect, love, attention and, more important, need to be listened to and be heard,” she stated, adding that this day is also an occasion for the grownups to ponder over their role in the life of the child and the impact that they have on the development of the child.
Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, head of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, congratulated the children on their day, saying that the Child Protection Day is a holiday when parents, children, society and the administrative bodies combine efforts to make life more interesting.
In an open-air movie theater in the park, the children could see films about less happy mates from other countries. The children could also learn how to give first aid, including indirect hear massage and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. “The children did well. I saw that the younger children are more courageous and this is good because they showed responsibility,” said Igor Mocan, of the national training center of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.
The program of activities also included painting and drawing sessions, contests, handicraft, floristic, ecology, sport and truism workshops and asphalt drawing.
