Public Discussion: Chances of fulfilling the 28 conditions for obtaining €100 million from the EU or How real is the government’s objective to make the European course irreversible until the parliamentary elections?
The Ministry of Education will not abandon video surveillance at the Baccalaureate exams, Minister of Education Corina Fusu said in the program “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
“This practice exists in the European states too. We have video surveillance in stores, public or private institutions and on the street. Practice showed that after the fear of surveillance cameras was overcome, the average grade in the Baccalaureate exams and the number of those who passed the exam rose,” stated the minister.
Corina Fusu noted that those who will be caught violating the examination rules will be eliminated, while the video recordings will be kept for possible trials. “There were different cases of Baccalaureate exam rigging. We were sued. The video recordings are the main evidence. But the conditions will remain the same. Those who will try to rig an exam will be banned from taking all the exams and will be able to sit them again in a year,” he said.
The minister also said the candidates who will prove by documents that they know foreign languages will be freed from taking the exam in these languages and this is a novelty of this year’s examination session.
