Public Discussion: May 9th – A Festivity that Unites and Divides
Representatives of central and local public authorities, NGOs and resource centers for youth will discuss the development of inter-sector cooperation in implementing youth policies in a two-day conference in Chisinau. The national conference is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport with the support of the European Commission within the Eastern Partnership Youth Regional Unit, IPN reports.
The event will be attended by representatives of district youth councils and of the international partners in the youth sector.
According to senior consultant of the Ministry’s Youth Programs Division Constantin Turcanu, the goal of the conference is to formulate recommendations for developing sustainable and efficient partnerships in the youth sector so as to solve the problems encountered by the young people in a coordinated way.
Within the conference, there will be discussed possibilities of standardizing the inter-sector cooperation and coordination in the youth sector and of developing inter-sector partnerships in dealing with problems faced by the youth.
There will be presented the draft national strategy for developing the youth sector for 2014-2020 and the plan for implementing it. The representatives of district youth councils will speak about the situation at the local level and about the difficulties experienced by the youth.
The event will involve experts of the Eastern Partnership Youth Regional Unit.
The national conference “Development of inter-sector cooperation in the area of youth policies” will take place in June 12-13.
