Strengthen strategic partnership between EBRD and Mobiasbanca
The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka will make an official visit to Chisinau on June 9-10. The organization of the visit, the fostering of bilateral cooperation and development of Moldovan-Czech investment projects were the main subjects discussed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip and the Czech Ambassador to Moldova Zdenìk Krejci in a meeting on June 2, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the interlocutors noted the higher quality of the political-diplomatic dialogue between Moldova and the Czech Republic. In this connection, Pavel Filip welcomed the organization of the Czech Premier’s visit to Chisinau, saying that this visit, including the holding of the Business Forum, will contribute to stronger commercial-economic and investment ties.
“The Government wants the Czech investments to be present in Moldova’s economy in a larger volume and we appreciate the inclusion of our country in the list of states that hold interest for the Czech economy in the export promotion strategy for 2012-2020. That’s why we are waiting for larger Czech investments. I also want to thank the Government of the Czech Republic for keeping Moldova on the list of priority states for providing assistance for development,” stated Pavel Filip.
The Premier also spoke about the short-term priorities, referring to the reforms launched to stabilize the financial-banking sector and improve the business climate, the signing of a new program with the IMF and unblocking of external financing.
For his part, Zdenìk Krejci said the Czech authorities support Moldova in its efforts to implement the association agenda and are ready to offer the necessary assistance in fulfilling the assumed commitments. “We have a rich experience in doing reforms in different areas and are ready to share our experience with the Moldovan side,” stated the Czech diplomat.
