Eight projects to the total value of over 400,000 lei were implemented in Anenii Noi district owing to the financial support provided by Poland, Andrei Buga, specialist for investments at the Anenii Noi District Council, said in the program “Place for Dialogue” at the public station “Radio Moldova”, IPN reports.
According to Andrei Buga, the first project is related to tourism and was managed by a group of young people aged between 15 and 17. “All the tourist facilities of Anenii Noi district were inventoried. For the first time, there was designed a map of these facilities and there will be printed a brochure,” he stated.
Andrei Buga also said that the other projects are related to culture, sport and the social sphere. There will be finished the construction of a rehabilitation center for persons with disabilities. Other projects envision the lighting of streets, collection of waste and the building of an open-air museum for the victims of the Gulag.
“Poland is ready to finance other projects too. We must only be more courageous and make more effort,” stated Andrei Buga.
The Government of Poland, as well as different foundations from this country, financed a number of social-cultural projects in Moldovan villages. An example is the project to create ties between the young people from the districts Dubasari and Ialoveni and from Nowy S±cz and Cracow of southern Poland. The Warsaw foundation “Terra Humana” implemented a project to organize seminars and training sessions on investment attraction in northern Moldova.
In May 2014, the Government of Poland offered Moldova a loan of €100 million repayable in 25 years, with a grace period of five years, at an annual interest rate of 0.15%. The money will be used to finance projects to modernize the agrifood sector of Moldova, especially to restructure the farms manufacturing dairy and meat products and other competitive agricultural products.
