The 31 day summer camps of Chisinau will begin work on June 1, 2016. The camps situated outside Chisinau will be opened gradually at the start of June, IPN reports.
According to the Chisinau City Hall, about 20,000 students from the municipality of Chisinau will go to summer camps this year. Over 4,700 children will receive free tickets. The day summer camps will work for 15 days, while tickets to them cost 1,075 lei. Of this sum, the parents pay 20%. The children from boarding schools will vacation at the summer camps “Ciresarii” and “Alunelul”.
Places at summer camps are provided first of all to children who come from families in difficulty and one-parent families and whose parents took part in the Nistru war, the Afghan war and the Chernobyl cleanup and to children who obtained excellent results at school and in sport.
Over 29 million lei was allocated for organizing the summer vacation of children, including 25 million lei for summer camp tickets and 4 million lei for the repair and preparation of camps.
