In the Republic of Moldova, there are many non-discredited persons with dignity, integrity and uprightness, but these are not accepted by the parties of the right and of the left and by the political center. Namely these persons should become a force in Moldova and should run in the parliamentary election and win them so as to change the state of affairs in the country, Gheorghe Costandachi, head of the European Social-Political Center, stated in a news conference at IPN on March 13.
According to Gheorghe Costandachi, the really independent candidates should have the courage to enter alone the struggle and should count on the citizens’ support. Namely they should contribute to strengthening society by combining their forces and capacities, wish and courage. “When we speak about independent candidates, we mean persons without direct or indirect political party support. The people and the healthy forces of society will unite around these for the benefit of the Republic of Moldova,” stated Gheorghe Costandachi.
He noted that the Republic of Moldova needs a Parliament consisting of model people with qualities, who achieved something in life at professional, personal and social levels. “They should not accept compromises when it is about incompetence, lie, stealing and opportunism. They should not allow exploiting the people in the interests of minority and political groups and should wage war on foolishness, corruption and mafias,” said Gheorghe Costandachi.
The head of the European Social-Political Center stated that since 1994 until now, different concepts and views about the development of this territory should have been presented by all those who governed, but this wasn’t done. Most of these did nothing but used the posts for personal interests, to the detriment of the general interest. The Republic of Moldova needs a socioeconomic development model based on profound strategic planning, with well-balanced and long-term development objectives.
Gheorghe Costandachi suggested creating a common organizational and support center of the future independent candidates so that these could act connectedly and could become a powerful force in the legislative elections. There should be supported the model of the powerful independent candidate who has the ability to analyze, communicate, become involved and associate himself in order to find and implement the best solutions for developing the Republic of Moldova.
