
The state budget support growth forecast for 2018 is prudential and with reserves and the growth could be higher, Minister of Finance Octavian Armasu stated in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
“This budget comes to strengthen the economic growth and to give an impulse to the economic growth next year by larger public investments that we project for the coming year,” stated Octavian Armasu.
The minister noted that based on the macroeconomic forecast, it is estimated that the revenues next year will be by 4 billion lei higher. “The calculations show that when we have an economic growth of 3% and a 6% rise in imports, we can foster a rise in incomes. This macroeconomic effect ensures a growth of 2.1 billion lei,” said the minister. He noted that they also expect a growth of 1.6 billion lei from grants and a growth of 0.4 billion lei based on the fiscal policies.
Co-founder of the company “Angry Business” Alexandru Bordea said that stability is needed to ensure the efficient activity of the business, including political, economic and psychological stability. The fact that the budget for next year was discussed with experts of the IMF is a guarantee.
The draft state budget law for 2018 was approved by the Government on November 21. The state budget is based on an economic growth of 3%, an 8% increase in exports and a 6% rise in imports.
