Zaria scored a victory in the first match played under the guidance of Romanian coach Stefan Stoica. The team from Balti beat the newly promoted Sfantul Gheroghe 2-0 within the ninth stage of the National Division, IPN reports.
Both of the goals were scored by Brazilian players Marcao (45th minute) and Bruno de Sousa (83rd), who also made their debut for Zaria. As a result of this victory, Zaria climbed to the fifth spot in the rankings with ten points, while Sfantul Gheorghe ranks last with seven points.
The first three ranked teams won victories in the ninth stage. The leading Sheriff defeated away Speranta 2-1. Milsami, which beat Spicul 2-0, is two points behind Sheriff. Dacia didn’t experience problems with Dinamo-Auto and won by 4-1.
Finally, Zimbru and Petrocub tied 1-1. Brazilian footballer Douglas, who played his first match in the National Division, scored for Zimbru.
